Fires are extremely quick moving, especially in areas with woods. Having a go bag ready and a designated spot to evacuate to is key to being prepared.
What to wear
Cover yourself as much as possible with long sleeved shirts, durable pants, shoes, hats and other articles of clothing. This will help protect you from burns and flying embers. Cotton is preferred.
